Nvidia Unveils Rubin & Feynman Generation Chip Roadmap at GTC 2026, First Confirms Rosa as Feynman GPU's Companion CPU
Nvidia revealed the chip roadmap for Rubin (2026~2027) and Feynman (2027~2028) generations at GTC 2026, confirming for the first time that Rosa is the CPU code name paired with Feynman GPU.
For Groq LPU, the Rubin generation will launch LP35 (expected in 2027 alongside Rubin Ultra) supporting NVFP4 data format; Feynman's LP40 will support NVLink to further enhance interconnection with GPU+CPU systems.
Feynman GPU uses 3D advanced packaging with chiplet stacking and custom HBM. Jensen Huang noted that optical interconnection will be used for both horizontal expansion and intra-rack vertical expansion scenarios, with NVLink 8 supporting CPO co-packaged optics as a typical example.
