Open-source AI Tool OpenClaw ("Lobster") Gains Popularity; Multiple Chinese Cities Roll Out Policies to Support OPC Entrepreneurship
OpenClaw, an open-source AI agent tool nicknamed "Lobster" for its red lobster icon, has recently gained popularity due to its lightweight and flexible features, making "raising lobsters" a hot topic in the tech circle. OPC (One Person Company) is a new entrepreneurship model where individuals use AI to handle the full product lifecycle.
The Suzhou Artificial Intelligence Industry Association recently called for a rational view of OpenClaw, emphasizing it is a technical tool that needs to match business scenarios, promote professional division of labor and safety compliance, and create a healthy industry environment. Multiple Chinese cities have launched policies to support OpenClaw and OPC: Hefei High-tech Zone rolled out 15 measures with up to 10 million yuan in support; Shenzhen Longgang District encouraged platforms to set up "Lobster Service Zones" with subsidies; Wuxi High-tech Zone released "12 Rules for Raising AI Lobsters" covering subsidies for computing power, data, and venues; Changshu City introduced 13 measures including free deployment training, data support, and talent subsidies to help OPC grow.
