OpenAI to merge ChatGPT and Codex usage into one quota

OpenAI has announced that starting in December, it will bring Work's agent capabilities into the main ChatGPT experience. Plus, Pro, and Business subscribers will then share one unified usage quota between ChatGPT and Codex. Under the new system, usage on both ChatGPT and Codex will be measured by tokens. How fast the quota runs out depends on the model and task complexity, while instant chats won't use any quota. Users can check their combined remaining quota and next reset time in Settings, under Usage. OpenAI says it is fully preparing for the switch so users' workflows won't be interrupted. Most users shouldn't need to wait for resets more often than before. If the quota runs out, users can wait for a reset, upgrade their plan, or buy credits to keep going.
