OPPO Releases ColorOS 7: 'Light, Fast, Boundless' Design Delivers Humanistic Care

On November 20, 2019, OPPO officially released ColorOS 7, focusing on the 'light, fast, boundless' concept. Design director Chen Xi called it the best product in ColorOS history, adopting 'Boundless Design 2.0' with optimizations in UI, interaction, and animation. It uses 'light' to reduce color saturation and introduce pebble-style icons; 'fast' enhances fluency with new half-screen interaction for one-handed use.

ColorOS7 integrates humanistic care: It reduces information density via 'blank layout' design, guiding users to slow down and focus on themselves; includes focus mode to reduce phone dependency and OPPO Relax for soothing music; hides details like weather star trails for users to discover. It also launches 'True Global Theme' supporting fine customization of charging animations and always-on display, encouraging young people to express individuality.

Chen Xi said boundless design is an ongoing exploration, aiming to break boundaries, let users control their phones instead of being controlled, and deliver a lifestyle of tranquility and freedom.
