Over Half of Gen Z Self-Identify as 'AI-Sexual', 60% Report AI Improves Real Life
Gen Z's intimate interactions with AI are becoming a new trend. Joi AI, an AI companion company, surveyed 2500 Gen Z and post-2000 adults, finding over half self-identify as 'AI-sexual' and are willing to try AI in intimate relationships or sexual activities.
Sixty percent of respondents say AI interactions improve real life—expressing desires is easier, with no embarrassment or shame, and it helps discover unknown interests. Choosing AI companions isn't just about not finding real partners: 61% think AI makes self-expression and exploration easier, 14% have no time for dating, and only 16% can't find real partners.
Privacy protection and feedback mechanisms are key reasons young people choose AI intimate interactions. It's advised to stay rational when using AI and balance virtual and real relationships.
