Perplexity Launches AI Health Assistant: Integrates Apple Health and Other Data Sources to Provide Personalized Medical Advice

Perplexity today launched Perplexity Health, an interface tool that connects users' health data (such as medical records, lab results, and wearable device data). Combined with its AI agent Perplexity Computer, it can answer medical questions and create personalized fitness plans and nutrition programs. This feature is first available to Pro and Max users in the US.

Perplexity Health's answers are based on high-quality medical literature (including clinical guidelines and peer-reviewed journals). The company has also established a health advisory board consisting of doctors, researchers, and health tech experts to ensure the product meets evidence-based medicine standards and clinical safety.

In addition, the tool supports integration with Apple Health, Fitbit, and other devices, as well as electronic health records from over 1.7 million healthcare providers. More vendors will be added later. All health data is encrypted and will not be used for AI model training or sold to third parties.
