Qianjiang Police Use Doubao AI Tool to Quickly Solve Diesel Theft Case
On the morning of May 14, 400 liters of diesel were stolen from two excavators at a construction site in Qianjiang. The site was remote with no surveillance, and workers saw no abnormalities when leaving work, leaving few clues. Police found fresh tire tracks with a 1440mm wheelbase but couldn't identify the vehicle type.
Later, police used the Doubao AI tool to inquire, learning the wheelbase might correspond to micro vans or light trucks like Wuling Hongguang and Changan Kuayuexing. Based on this, they screened nearby checkpoint surveillance and locked onto a Wuling Hongguang van appearing near the crime scene late at night, with a suspected oil pipe in the back seat.
Police tracked the vehicle's trajectory, seizing the car and suspects. They found the car's seats removed and equipped with oil pumps, plastic cans and other tools. Following clues, they uncovered an underground diesel sales den, and the case is under further investigation.
