Rich US families turn to AI for kids' education, led by Silicon Valley
Most Americans don't trust AI, but some wealthy families are ditching traditional schools for AI education. Forge Prep and Alpha School charge tens of thousands of dollars for kids to test AI tutoring tools. Silicon Valley folks are the main fans. A venture capitalist plans to send his son to Alpha School, which costs $75,000 a year. The co-founder of Alpha School says they'll keep sensitive social topics out of class, but some campuses go up to high school. Forge Prep and others don't share data on how well their students do, so there's no proof these AI schools actually help kids learn better.
