SambaNova AI Chip Joins Oracle Cloud

AI chip company SambaNova has announced a partnership with Oracle. Its AI inference chip, the SN50 RDU, will join Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI), offering a new computing option for AI inference in the cloud.

Oracle is building a diverse AI computing portfolio. On top of NVIDIA and AMD chips, it has already launched Positron's Atlas chip and will become the first external hyperscaler to offer Google TPU.

Cerebras wafer-scale chips will also enter Oracle's computing lineup, and Intel's Xeon "Diamond Rapids" processors will support the future OCI X14 product line. This multi-chip strategy lets customers match computing power to different AI inference needs.
