Samsung kicks off 'AI transformation' across all business units
Samsung Electronics has announced a major 'AI transformation' plan to integrate artificial intelligence into all business operations, work methods, and corporate culture across its subsidiaries. The shift aims to reshape the company's DNA around AI, involving everyone from executives to regular employees.
Starting this month, Samsung will roll out external generative AI services like Google Gemini, OpenAI ChatGPT, and Anthropic Claude to all subsidiaries, along with supporting security systems. The goal is to boost productivity by applying AI widely and to find new growth opportunities.
To support this, Samsung plans to provide AI training for all regular employees by 2026. For leadership, a two-day 'AI Transformation Bootcamp' for CEOs and presidents kicks off in June, followed by a three-day program for 2,300 executives. Each subsidiary will also set up a dedicated AI department to promote AI use, manage operations, and nurture talent.
