Shanghai launches 24 measures to boost AI-powered short drama industry

Shanghai's cultural and tourism bureau released new policies to boost AI-powered short drama development, with 24 specific measures across 8 areas. AIGC is now key to the industry, and Shanghai has strong supply chains but faces high costs and lack of public platforms.

The measures include building AI-short drama testing bases, supporting companies to rent computing power and train vertical models, rewarding quality scripts, creating an overseas distribution base in Pudong, and setting up industry clusters in Xuhui, Yangpu, and Minhang. The goal is to seize new opportunities and keep policies consistent.
