Stellantis, Wayve, and Uber join forces to build self-driving taxis
Stellantis, Wayve, and Uber have announced a three-way partnership to develop and deploy Level 4 self-driving taxis (Robotaxis). Stellantis will handle vehicle manufacturing and sensor integration, Wayve provides end-to-end AI driving software, and Uber will use its global ride-hailing network to operate and scale the service.
The companies plan to work on vehicle integration, testing, and deployment in cities across Europe, North America, and other regions, aiming to bring safe and reliable autonomous ride services to the public. The collaboration brings together car-making, AI software, and ride-hailing platforms to speed up real-world use of self-driving tech.
