Tencent's AI Assistant 'Mavis' Launches, Turning Your Computer into a Smart Chat Buddy

Tencent has officially launched 'Mavis,' an AI assistant that works at the operating system level. It's now available on Windows, Mac, and Android. This assistant turns your whole computer into something you can talk to, ready to use out of the box. It can organize and analyze documents, recognize and edit images, and even fix your computer system.

Mavis has a built-in routing system that automatically sends tasks to different models, and some models run locally so you can use them even without internet. Tencent says Mavis can do almost everything other agents can, plus it understands the operating system's structure and can control phone apps through task scheduling.

Just keep in mind Mavis needs decent hardware because it comes with several local models pre-installed. But it's designed to save token usage, making it more efficient. If you often work with documents or images, give this new assistant a try.
