Tesla Delays AI6 Chip's 2nm Node Test, Impacting South Korean DEEPX Project's Mass Production Plan

Tesla has delayed the multi-project wafer (MPW) test of its AI6 chip at Samsung Electronics' 2nm node, leading Samsung Foundry to postpone its originally planned April test service by six months.

This delay affects South Korean Fabless company DEEPX's DX-M2 project. Its next-generation on-device generative AI chip will not enter mass production in Q2 2027 as scheduled; instead, it is expected to complete quality testing in Q3 2027 and start full sales in Q4 2027.
