UBTECH's UWorld starts pre-sale of full-size humanoid robot

UBTECH's consumer robot brand UWorld has started pre-sales for what it calls the world's first full-size bionic humanoid robot, with official launch set for June 30. Customers can secure early access with a deposit of 3,000 yuan until July 15.

The robot comes in male and female versions. The male model stands 183 cm tall and weighs 42 kg, while the female version is 168 cm and 35.2 kg. Both have 88 degrees of freedom, support Wi-Fi and charging, and offer 2-4 hours of battery life. They are not designed for secondary development.

Focused on emotional companionship, this robot aims to bring lifelike interaction to users. Its pre-sale marks a step forward for consumer humanoid robots, though battery life and limited customization may affect some use cases.
