Unitree's Wang Xingxing: Embodied AI tipping point may come in one to two years
The 26th China International Industry Fair is being held at the National Exhibition and Convention Center in Shanghai. Unitree founder Wang Xingxing shared his views on embodied AI at the opening dialogue session.
He said GPT-6's release has greatly changed how the embodied AI industry sees things. His team has deployed it on robots for task testing, and the results were good. He believes the industry's tipping point could arrive quickly, possibly within one or two years.
He noted that large-scale robot use still needs better generalization and efficiency, but these issues should be solved in the coming years. Wang said his faith in AI keeps growing, and his biggest mistake over the past decade was not believing in AI enough.
He previously stated that when robots can complete 80% of tasks in 80% of unfamiliar scenarios through voice, the industry will hit its explosion point, drawing global companies and resources into the field.
