Utopai and Huace team up for AI-generated Journey to the West series

U.S. AI company Utopai Studios and China's Huace Film & TV have teamed up to create an AI-generated animated series called 'Journey to the West: The Lost 500 Years,' based on the classic Chinese novel. The show will explore untold stories of Sun Wukong's imprisonment and growth. Huace will use Utopai's PAI platform for production, while Utopai handles distribution outside China. They plan to expand the IP into TV, streaming, and movies. Utopai recently released its second-gen PAI platform, which keeps story context consistent and gives creators more control over production.
