Wuhan launches home robot 'Shiguang S1' that folds clothes, cooks, and chats with seniors
Tired of household chores? The new home robot 'Shiguang S1' from Wuhan's Optics Valley is here to help. It can fold clothes, cook, clean tables, and even chat with seniors, all while learning new skills to make home life easier.
Developed by Jiguang Shijie, this robot is different from factory ones that repeat set programs. It uses a self-developed embodied intelligence model to understand tasks and plan actions on its own. The company plans to release its GigaBrain 1 model in Q3 this year, boosting data understanding and task flexibility for home use.
'Shiguang S1' also has a soft control system that stops immediately if it bumps into people or pets, ensuring safety. Families in Wuhan can apply to be seed users via the 'Shiguang Shijie' WeChat account or activity page.
