Xiaomi's older MiMo models are shutting down as V2.6 takes over
Xiaomi has announced that its MiMo-V2.5-Pro and MiMo-V2.5 models will be taken offline. With the MiMo V2.6 series now fully online and running smoothly, the company is asking developers to switch to the new models, which offer stronger reasoning and better value.
Here's the timeline: from 6:00 PM on October 14, 2026 (UTC+8), requests to the old models will automatically go to mimo-v2.6-pro and mimo-v2.6-flash, billed at new rates. From 10:00 AM on October 21, the old model names will stop working and return errors, so developers should finish the switch and test in advance.
The MiMo-V2.6 series includes Pro and Flash, two native omni-modal models. Pricing stays the same as V2.5: Flash costs 1 yuan per million input tokens and 2 yuan per million output tokens, while Pro is 3 and 6 yuan, with a 99% cache discount. At similar intelligence levels, that's only 1/20 to 1/60 of overseas models' prices.
