10 Chinese Departments Jointly Issue AI Ethics Review and Service Measures to Regulate Ethical Governance of AI Activities

Recently, 10 departments including the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology jointly issued the "Measures for AI Ethics Review and Service (Trial)", providing clear guidance for AI ethics review and service work in China.

The measures specify the scope of application, implementation entities, and work procedures (general, simple, expert review, emergency) for AI ethics review. They also include support measures in five areas: standard construction, service system, innovation encouragement, publicity and education, and talent training to help enterprises improve ethical risk prevention capabilities.

The measures balance innovation and risk prevention, enhance ethical governance through standardized review rules, ensure responsible AI innovation, and support the high-quality development of China's AI industry.
