2026 Beijing Yizhuang Humanoid Robot Half Marathon to Kick Off This Sunday, Upgraded Track Tests Robots' Comprehensive Capabilities
The 2026 Beijing Yizhuang Humanoid Robot Half Marathon will kick off this Sunday in Beijing Economic and Technological Development Zone. Open to global participants, it includes autonomous navigation and remote control groups—remote control results will be weighted by a factor of 1.2. The 21.0975km track, for the first time, adds the Nanhaizi Park ecological section with over 10 terrain types (flat, ramps, curves, etc.), testing robots' path planning and dynamic balance.
Robots start sequentially with 30-second intervals, each followed by a referee cart for supervision. Awards combine speed and technical innovation: speed prizes (champion, runner-up, third), completion awards, and technical categories like best battery life, netizen-voted best gait control, and best design, highlighting humanoid robots' comprehensive strengths.
