2026 Beijing Yizhuang Humanoid Robot Half Marathon to Start Tomorrow, Scale and Difficulty Hit New Highs
The 2026 Beijing Yizhuang Humanoid Robot Half Marathon will start tomorrow. Over 100 domestic and international teams are making final preparations at the base, with this year's event reaching new highs in scale and difficulty. The concurrent Warrior Challenge features 17 obstacles, including narrow bridge crossing and flood control dam building, simulating industrial inspection and rescue scenarios to test robots' adaptability in complex environments.
The race, themed "Yima Dangxian" (Leading the Way), has a 21.0975km track combining urban main roads, international motorsport sections, and park ecological scenes. It includes autonomous navigation and remote control groups, with rules encouraging autonomous completion: autonomous teams exceeding 3 manual interventions will switch to remote control scoring. Special awards like "Best Endurance Award" and "Most Beautiful Gait Award" are added, and outstanding teams that finish fully autonomously can apply for the Guinness World Record.
