AI-generated video used to spread rumors about delivery riders; one netizen detained

Recently, Shanghai Qingpu Police Station cracked a network rumor case involving false delivery information. Netizen Liu downloaded an AI-generated video of a delivery rider reboxing fallen noodles, removed the "AI-generated" tag, and posted it to gain attention, causing misinformation.

Gao and Wu commented with false statements like "I've done this too" to attract views. Liu has been detained, while Gao and Wu received administrative penalties. Meituan stated it will firmly protect riders' rights and collaborate with authorities to crack down on such rumors. There have been multiple previous cases of using rider identities to create negative content for profit, all handled legally.
