Siemens Healthineers and NVIDIA Team Up on Next-Gen Radiation Therapy
Siemens Healthineers and NVIDIA announced a partnership to develop next-generation adaptive radiation therapy technology. They will combine imaging and oncology expertise with accelerated computing and simulation to simplify workflows and improve access to care.
The first phase covers three areas: AI agents in treatment planning to help evaluate options and run calculations; patient simulation using digital twins to test scenarios before therapy starts; and real-time adaptive computing to help cancer teams respond to changing patient conditions.
Siemens Healthineers CEO Bernd Montag said the goal is to help providers manage complexity, make smarter treatment decisions, and spend more time on patient care.
Arthur Kaindl, head of the oncology unit, stressed that treatment should adapt to patients, not the other way around. The partners will explore how AI can give clinicians faster speed and deeper insight to serve more patients.
