AI startup Anthropic files for Nasdaq IPO as revenue jumps 13 times
US-based AI startup Anthropic has filed an S-1 registration with the US Securities and Exchange Commission, planning an IPO of Class A common shares under the ticker "ANT" on Nasdaq. The offering size and pricing have not been announced.
The filing shows strong growth: revenue reached $4.59 billion in 2025 and jumped 13 times year-over-year to $16.29 billion in the first half of 2026, with adjusted operating profit turning positive at $1.6 billion. The huge book losses mainly come from fair value changes of convertible notes, not actual operating costs. Paying customers spending over $100,000 a year now exceed 6,000, up more than tenfold in just over a year.
Computing infrastructure is the biggest future expense. By the end of June, the company held $112.4 billion in cash equivalents and $19.3 billion in short-term investments, and has signed deals with at least $417 billion in minimum future payments for servers, data centers, and cloud resources.
