AMD Reintroduces PCIe Form Factor After Four Years: Instinct MI350P Accelerator Targets Data Center Upgrades
AMD recently launched the Instinct MI350P PCIe accelerator card, designed for upgrading existing data center infrastructure. This is the company's first PCIe AIC form factor Instinct graphics accelerator in four years; previous products in the line used the OAM form factor.
In terms of specs, the MI350P is like a 'halved' MI350X: the number of XCDs is reduced to 4, HBM3E memory is 4 stacks totaling 144GB, with a performance drop of about 50%; transistor count decreases from 185 billion to 73 billion, a 60% reduction.
The accelerator card uses a double-slot FHFL size, 267mm in length. Its maximum thermal design power (TBP) is 600W (configurable to 450W), features fanless passive cooling, and requires one 12V-2×6 power connector.
