Apple Intelligence Launches in China, Qwen Now Works with Siri

Apple has rolled out the iOS 27.3 developer preview for iPhone. After updating, users in mainland China can find the Apple Intelligence and Siri page in Settings.

Apple partnered with Alibaba to bring Qwen into Siri, Writing Tools, and Visual Intelligence. Users can sign in with a Qwen account or use Sign in with Apple to access it right inside the system, no separate app needed. Support will later extend to iPadOS, macOS, and visionOS.

The first batch of features focuses on everyday use. Live translation is built into Messages, FaceTime, and Phone, and AirPods 4, AirPods Pro 2, and newer models support face-to-face translation. Writing Tools can rewrite, proofread, and summarize. Visual Intelligence can identify objects and places around you, and the Photos cleanup tool removes unwanted things from pictures.

Apple's China website shows that iPhone 15 Pro and newer models support Apple Intelligence.
