First iOS 27.3 beta brings Apple Intelligence and Siri to Chinese iPhones

Apple has released the first iOS 27.3 developer beta for iPhone, bringing "Apple Intelligence and Siri" to users in China. The first batch of features includes live translation, writing tools, visual intelligence, photo cleanup, Genmoji, and notification summaries.

Live translation works in Messages, FaceTime, and Phone, and extends to AirPods for face-to-face talks. Visual intelligence opens by pressing the camera control button — its ask feature connects to Qwen, and search connects to Baidu. Writing tools can rewrite, proofread, and summarize text.

The Photos app now has a cleanup tool that removes unwanted objects with a tap or a circle. Genmoji lets users mix emojis or create new ones from text. Notification summaries turn messages into key points, with urgent alerts pinned on top.

These features require an iPhone 15 Pro or newer, with Siri and device language set to English or Simplified Chinese.
