AWS to Add 2 Million More NVIDIA GPUs, Total Hits 3 Million

Amazon Web Services (AWS) and NVIDIA announced plans to deploy an extra 2 million NVIDIA GPUs across its global infrastructure between 2027 and 2028. Earlier this year, AWS had already committed to 1 million GPUs at GTC 2026, bringing the total to 3 million.

AWS will also bring in NVIDIA's Groq LPUs and offer infrastructure based on NVIDIA's Vera CPU in its cloud services. It will integrate its own chips with NVIDIA's NVLink Fusion and NVHBM. The two companies are also partnering on AI in areas like factories, networking, models, and physics.
