CAS Releases World's First Panoramic Carbon Accounting Large Model to Break Traditional Bottlenecks
The Shanghai Advanced Research Institute of CAS has launched the "Panshi·Yuheng Carbon Accounting Large Model", the world's first panoramic carbon emission accounting system covering production, consumption, and natural sources. It reconstructs the carbon accounting paradigm using generative AI to dynamically depict global carbon flow and traceability.
Based on the "Panshi·Scientific Foundation Large Model", it builds a three-layer system of data, algorithm, and computing power, accumulating 208TB of multi-format carbon data including internal scenarios and external regulations, providing a solid foundation for intelligent query and reasoning.
It aims to solve traditional issues like high knowledge barriers and difficult data processing. Currently, it has achieved country-level high-precision carbon maps and calculated China's 2024 exported wind turbines/photovoltaic products' contribution: 2 million tons of production emissions vs. 350 million tons of operational reductions.
The team will iterate the model to form independent IP, support national needs like greenhouse gas inventory, and contribute Chinese wisdom to the global carbon accounting new order.
