China's Ministry of Education and Four Departments Issue 'AI + Education' Action Plan, Targeting Smart Education New Form by 2030

Recently, China's Ministry of Education and four other departments jointly released the 'AI + Education' Action Plan. By 2030, it aims to form a deep integration pattern between AI and education, including a full-stage AI education system, a long-term mechanism for national AI literacy, and a leading global smart education new form.

The plan includes initiatives like popularizing AI in K-12, nurturing high-level AI talents, upgrading vocational education with AI; empowering student learning (e.g., smart companions, ideological and political large models), teacher teaching (intelligent lesson prep, homework management), and education governance; building a national education intelligent computing platform, developing education AI large models, and strengthening safety barriers.
