DeepSeek Tests Voice Chat Feature with Four Voice Options

DeepSeek is testing a voice chat feature with a small group of users. Those in the test can see a speaker button in the top right corner of the app. A new "reading voice" option appears in settings, offering four voice choices: Shell (lively and versatile), White Wave (clear and firm), Starfish (playful and sweet), and Dark Tide (deep and rich).

The test shows DeepSeek is expanding its multimodal interaction. The voice feature could improve the chat experience on mobile. It is still in limited testing and not yet available to everyone.
