Figure AI Humanoid Robot Sorts Packages Live for 33 Hours, Handles Over 40k Parcels With Minor Flaws
Figure AI's humanoid robot recently launched a live package sorting challenge. Originally planned for 8 hours, the robot worked continuously for 33 hours and sorted over 40,000 packages. Its task was to place package labels face down and send them to the conveyor belt.
However, the robot occasionally pushes packages off the belt, causing them to fall, with no response. Even with minor flaws, it still shows potential to replace repetitive labor: a few robots in a sorting station plus one human checker can reduce manpower. These robots are based on the Helix 02 model, run autonomously at human performance level, and switch to another robot when the battery is low.
