Honor's Humanoid Robots Sweep Top Three in Yizhuang Half-Marathon, Liquid Cooling Tech is Key
In the 2026 Beijing Yizhuang Humanoid Robot Half-Marathon, Honor's 'Lightning' robots swept the top three positions, with the fastest time being 50 minutes and 26 seconds, and 'Yuanqizai' winning the Best Gait Control Award. This achievement sparked heated discussions, as a mobile phone manufacturer's cross-border entry into robotics outperformed professional competitors.
Fang Fei, Honor's product line president, stated that the robots' victory was due to the migration and reuse of mobile phone technologies such as liquid cooling and high-energy-density batteries. The liquid cooling system, which solved the heat issue during long runs, was a key advantage.
Since establishing its humanoid robot division in 2025, Honor's team has grown to over 200 people, covering the entire R&D chain. Coupled with the Alpha Strategy's $10 billion investment and the WSBK partnership with Zhang Xue Motorcycle, Honor is accelerating its layout in smart robotics and sports technology.
