Honor's Self-developed Humanoid Robot 'Lightning' Wins Beijing Yizhuang Half Marathon, Becomes First Mobile Phone Manufacturer to Take the Title
The 2026 Beijing Yizhuang Humanoid Robot Half Marathon concluded, with Honor's self-developed robot 'Lightning' from the Qitian Dasheng team winning the championship in 50 minutes and 26 seconds, making Honor the first mobile phone manufacturer to take the title in this event. All 10 teams from Honor advanced to the final, and the top six robots were all from Honor, which also won both the autonomous navigation and remote control tracks.
Honor's robots showed excellent performance: they could stand up autonomously in tens of seconds after falling and pass curves smoothly at high speed; 'Lightning' was designed with reference to professional runners, while 'Yuanqizai' replicated human running postures. 'Lightning' D1 is 169cm tall and equipped with a self-developed motion system; 'Yuanqizai' A1 focuses on interactive companionship and supports functions like dancing.
Honor stated it will focus on the consumer market, deepen its presence in shopping malls, factories and home scenarios, and promote the implementation of embodied intelligence technology. Its robot department was established in February 2025, with a team of over 200 people covering the entire R&D chain.
