Intel's new data center GPU supports FP4 to FP64, runs at 350W
Intel revealed details about its data center GPU 'Crescent Island' at COMPUTEX. It's built for AI tasks and will launch later this year. The card supports data types from FP4 to FP64, has up to 480GB of LPDDR5x memory, and uses 350W power with a PCIe design.
It focuses on token-per-watt efficiency and comes with good open-source software support. Intel also said the Xe3P GPU architecture used in Crescent Island will appear in PCs, data centers, edge devices, and workstations, including its next-gen PC chips.
