JD Logistics Launches Upgraded 'Yilang' Robot Arm: Single to Dual Arm, Boosting Package Sorting Efficiency
JD Logistics released the upgraded 'Yilang' robot arm at the Zhongguancun Forum, evolving from single to dual arm to significantly enhance package sorting efficiency in warehouses.
The upgraded Yilang reduces its footprint from 72 to 32 square meters. Dual-arm collaboration increases the loading rate to 69.1%, a 32% year-on-year increase. Using digital twin technology for virtual training cuts development costs to 1/10 of the original; multi-sensor integration allows it to choose grabbing methods based on package characteristics, reducing errors; human-robot collaboration halves the single-item sorting cost compared to manual labor.
Currently, Yilang operates 24/7 in multiple JD warehouses, handling millions of product specifications, with plans to deploy 1000 units in the future.
