Microsoft and Mayo Clinic team up for AI in healthcare

At Build 2026, Microsoft announced a partnership with the Mayo Clinic in the US to build advanced AI models for healthcare. The collaboration will combine Mayo Clinic's medical expertise and de-identified clinical data with Microsoft's AI and cloud computing power.

The models will focus on clinical reasoning and medical use cases, and will be owned by Mayo Clinic to maintain patient trust and safety. Microsoft plans to offer the models through Azure Foundry API, making them available to healthcare providers worldwide.
