NVIDIA and MediaTek Deepen Ties for AI Computing
NVIDIA and MediaTek have recently expanded their long-term partnership to develop next-generation AI infrastructure, edge AI computing, and automotive products. MediaTek will use NVIDIA's NVLink Fusion platform to build custom XPU chips for clients, integrated into NVIDIA's rack-scale systems and AI factories. NVIDIA is also investing $3.5 billion in MediaTek to support their AI work together.
They will keep working on future RTX Spark and DGX Spark chips, and continue to open their software-defined vehicle platform with AI features. Jensen Huang, CEO of NVIDIA, said AI is reshaping all computing platforms, and this partnership will bring NVIDIA's accelerated computing to more markets. MediaTek CEO Rick Tsai said NVIDIA's investment strengthens their collaboration in cloud AI infrastructure, edge AI, and automotive platforms.
