NVIDIA CEO Jensen Huang says Vera CPU is 3-6 times more efficient, targeting new AI agent market

NVIDIA founder and CEO Jensen Huang said at Computex Taipei that the upcoming Vera CPU is 3 to 6 times more energy-efficient than current products and is already built into NVIDIA's highest-volume AI machines. He noted that Vera CPU isn't meant to compete with traditional makers but to create a new market for AI agents.

Huang emphasized that Vera CPU excels in data processing and AI agents, and will launch with AI software optimization and certification, giving it a leading position in the global software ecosystem. He also predicted that future data centers using NVIDIA GPUs will naturally pair with Vera CPU.

Previously reported, Vera CPU is designed specifically for AI agents, running 1.8 times faster than x86 processors and handling diverse AI workloads. This move puts pressure on competitors like AMD.
