Nvidia launches DLSS 4.5 ray reconstruction, coming in August with 27 games
Nvidia announced DLSS 4.5 ray reconstruction today. It'll launch in August for all GeForce RTX GPUs, with 27 games already on board.
The new tech uses neural rendering instead of manual denoisers, making ray tracing and path tracing look better. It works with a single model that handles both denoising and upscaling, creating higher-quality pixels between sampled rays. The model also has better spatial awareness.
Compared to the previous version, DLSS 4.5 ray reconstruction boosts computing power by 35% and increases parameter count by 20%. It uses game engine data more smartly for improved lighting, stability, and motion clarity. Nvidia also released a developer mask tool for fine-tuning.
