Pinterest deepens AWS partnership, plans $4 billion AI infrastructure investment
Pinterest, a visual discovery platform, announced a major expansion of its partnership with Amazon AWS, planning to invest $4 billion in cloud services by 2031. About one-third of its computing infrastructure already runs on AWS Graviton Arm CPUs, and this share will increase.
Pinterest will use AWS Trainium to host and run LLM and VLM models, supporting personalized visual search and AI-assisted discovery. The goal is to improve user experience and ad performance through proprietary and open-source models.
