SpaceXAI launches Grok Bot agent team to catch up with rivals
SpaceXAI, formerly xAI, has launched a new AI software called Grok Bot that works like a team of AI agents, handling tasks around the clock. The tool can log into different apps and websites, remember information from previous tasks, and let different bots share details and context. This is the latest move by Elon Musk's company to catch up with rivals like Anthropic and OpenAI in the AI agent market.
Grok Bot is already used by SpaceXAI's engineering, growth, and marketing teams. It can help sales teams find new customer accounts and draft emails automatically at night. It can also pull receipts from emails to help finance teams. Earlier this year, the company launched its first coding agent in May, then made a $60 billion deal in June to buy AI coding startup Cursor, and released the new Grok 4.5 built on Cursor.
Musk is pushing SpaceXAI to sell Grok products to banks and other businesses to boost revenue, supporting his plan to turn SpaceX into an AI company. The next model, Grok 4.6, might come out as early as this week.
