Tencent Cloud Announces 5% Price Hike for AI Computing Power, Container Services, and EMR Products; Alibaba Cloud and Baidu Cloud Previously Raised Prices

Tencent Cloud recently announced that it will increase the prices of AI computing power, container services, and Elastic MapReduce (EMR) related products by 5% starting from May 9, 2026. Users who have already purchased these products will not be affected during their current order or billing cycle; new prices will take effect in the next renewal cycle.

Earlier, Alibaba Cloud and Baidu Cloud had successively raised prices for AI computing power and storage products in March 2026, with increases ranging from 5% to 34%, due to the global AI demand surge leading to a significant rise in core hardware procurement costs. JD Cloud, however, committed to not raising prices for all core products and will offer greater discounts.
