Tencent WorkBuddy Adjusts Hy4 Preview Free Plan, New Users Get 14 Days of Daily Free Quota

Tencent WorkBuddy announced that its Hy4 preview large language model's limited-time free trial is ending, with new policies effective from September 11 to October 10, 2026. New users and those who haven't tried Hy4 preview before can get 14 consecutive days of daily free quota if they start their first conversation before October 10. Existing users still get free access during nighttime hours (11 PM to 8 AM), while other times require credits. The official note states that Hy4 preview lacks multimodal capabilities, so tasks like video or image generation switch to other models, consuming credits. Due to high participation, daily free quotas are limited, and queuing may occur during peak times. Earlier, Tencent Hunyuan and WorkBuddy teams optimized the model to reduce long thinking and over-validation, significantly lowering task rounds and token usage.
