Tmall Introduces First AI Software & Application Product Standards, Banning Exaggerated Claims Like '100% Accurate'
On April 14, 2026, Tmall officially implemented the 'AI Software and Application Product Release Standards', marking the platform's first rules for such products. The standards apply to merchants selling in the 'AI Software and Application' category, covering scenarios like service subscriptions and recharges, authorization and integration, developer resource transactions, and deep synthesis applications.
The rules specify that products involving token limits or membership durations must clearly state specific values; API-Key products need to indicate validity periods, model names, and versions. Exaggerated claims such as '100% accurate' or 'completely replace humans' are prohibited, as are prices significantly deviating from market levels or inducing off-platform transactions.
