Weave Robotics launches Isaac 1, a home robot that can fold laundry

US robotics company Weave Robotics has launched Isaac 1, a home robot designed for three chores: folding laundry, tidying rooms, and making beds. It moves on a motorized base, has an adjustable arm (0.9 to 1.75 meters), and looks like the character Baymax. Built on the Isaac 0 from February, it uses local algorithms and remote control. It can fold simple clothes like shirts and shorts on its own, but for tough tasks like pants, a human uses a camera to guide the arm remotely. It also clears clutter, straightens cushions, and makes beds. The company says complex tasks need remote help, raising privacy concerns for some. Isaac 1 charges in 2 hours, runs for 8, comes in 5 colors, costs $7,999 (about 54,363 yuan), and ships in fall 2026.
