WeChat Official Accounts Tighten AI Writing Rules: Non-Human Automated Content Will Be Deleted or Blocked
Recently, several WeChat Official Account users reported their articles being batch deleted or accounts blocked, citing violations of 'non-human automated creation behavior'. Some users claimed they were penalized even when manually importing articles via third-party tool Yiban, and content teaching AI writing tutorials was also removed.
WeChat's 'Public Account Behavior Guidelines' clause 3.27 explicitly prohibits non-human automated creation, including AI-generated/rewritten content, batch publishing via scripts, and spreading tutorials on such methods. Violations may result in content deletion, traffic restrictions, or account blocking.
The platform does not completely ban AI use but requires human-led creation: real people must determine topics, frameworks, and perspectives, with AI only as an auxiliary tool (e.g., proofreading, data search). As long as content reflects human thinking and style, using AI as an assistant is not a violation.
