Zhipu AI's 2025 Revenue Grows 131.9%, GLM-5 Widely Adopted by Top Tech Firms

Zhipu AI recently released its 2025 annual performance report, with revenue reaching 724 million yuan, up 131.9% year-on-year; adjusted net loss was 3.182 billion yuan, expanding 29.1% year-on-year. Despite the increased loss, business growth was significant: the GLM Coding Plan launched in 2025 had over 242,000 paid developers.

GLM-5 was adopted by top tech firms like ByteDance and Alibaba within 24 hours of its release, with 9 out of China's top 10 internet companies deeply integrating GLM. As of March 2026, the platform had over 4 million registered users, and even with an 83% increase in API call prices compared to the end of last year, the market still showed "computing power panic".

Cloud deployment revenue increased from 48.5 million yuan in 2024 to 190.4 million yuan (a 292.6% increase), while local deployment revenue rose from 263.9 million yuan to 534 million yuan (a 102.3% increase), with both service models achieving rapid growth.
