Alibaba's Qwen3.6-Plus Hits 1.4 Trillion Tokens in 1 Day, Breaking OpenRouter's Record

OpenRouter announced via its official X account that Alibaba's new model Qwen3.6-Plus reached 1.4 trillion tokens in daily calls just one day after its release, breaking the platform's global record for single-model daily call volume. OpenRouter is the world's largest AI large model API aggregation platform, which forms a ranking based on token consumption by developers and enterprises.

Alibaba launched Qwen3.6-Plus as China's strongest programming model on April 2. It has made breakthroughs in programming and agent capabilities. In the programming sublist of Arena, an international AI model competition, the preview version of Qwen3.6-Plus ranks first in China, making Alibaba the second-ranked AI organization globally in programming capability.
